Transformers Movie Leader Megatron
Megatron is a towering, bulky, dinosaur-footed monstrosity with a varied color scheme noticeably different than that of the movie version. Megatron?s jet mode looks a little bit like one of Leonardo da Vinci?s flying machines. His robot mode, bearing a slightly simplified version of the movie Megatron?s intricate armor plating, is reasonably well articulated. Among Megatron?s arsenal of gimmick features are electronic sounds and lights, a launching claw that becomes a chain whip, and arms that combine to form a fusion cannon. Initially Megatron was Cybertron?s designated Lord High Protector, although eventually he succumbed to his consuming lust for the all spark. Megatron?s agenda placed him in opposition of Optimus Prime forcing the latter to rally a militia against Megatron?s Deceptions. Megatron was single-minded and monstrously powerful; the Deceptions gained ground against their adversaries, and as a desperate contingency the all spark was jettisoned into space. Megatron?s attempt to find the all spark ultimately divided him from his forces and led him into frounceen stasis.

Purchased as a gift. This toy was well received and has been throughly enjoyed. -- TransformersMovie Leader Megatron
First of all, I got this last Christmas, however I didn't create a review.
The toy isn't so bad, however I did accidentally ripped the chain whip off, so that means it isn't so sturdy. I had to tape it back several times, however it's fine now. Some people complained about the Fusion Cannon, and I agree with that; the Fusion Cannon can't stay in position unless you hold it. The legs aren't strong enough to support the body sometimes (because of all the weight on the back) however I figured out a way for it to stand: you turn the legs forward at the top until you hear a little noise, and then it could stand. The sound effect is cool.
In vehicle mode, the arms are loose, and it does get annoying, so I push it back every few seconds. The tail usually doesn't turn in jet mode. The face is pretty visible, so that's a flaw along with those legs that make it seem more like an alien invading Earth. The horn is a nice addition, but why would a jet have a "horn" sound? The jet mode overall is pretty awesome, but it does have some major flaws.
The box does cheat on you. From the picture on the back, it's a shiny silver, but it's just a dull gray. This also happened on Revenge of the Fallen Leader Megatron. Another cheat is the head. On the box, the head is different from the actual head. I would rather have the head on the box.
Overall, Megatron isn't so bad, however it does have a few flaws. -- Megatron isn't so bad
My son is only 5 but he's dying to get his hands on this toy. He doesn't want to convert it to a plane, he just wants to get Bumblebee and Optimus Prime together to kick his butt!!! It's over-priced sure, but for the 30 minutes my son will take to destroy it....why the heck not. Yea, my kid is spoiled. He's all about Bumblebee anyhow! -- Hey, It's Megatron for crap sakes!!!!
Bought this for my 3 1/2 year old for Christmas and he really likes it. He isn't able to transform it yet on his own so do not buy it for a child under 8 unless you enjoy doing the transforming! It is sturdy and amazingly detailed though. Very impressive engineering! Well worth the money. -- Great Toy!
